2018's first by Dontknowwhattodraw94 2018's first by Dontknowwhattodraw94
A flying giant strolls through the horse tails covering a river bed. With its head towering above the ground, its eyes scanning the ground beneath and its careful gait it's clear that it's on the hunt. Several avialeans hitch a ride on its back, trying to catch the insects that are driven into the air in the creature's path. At a certain point it freezes, a target is in sight. For a moment the giant stands there as if frozen, easily mistaken for some dead tree trunk if one were not paying much attention to it.
Then it shoots forward. Three galloping steps are taken before the enormous bill gets driven into the ground by the surprisingly long neck. A moment later a juvenile Goniopholidid is visible, struggling to escape the ride into an Azhdarchid's digestive system, but to no avail.

Arambourgiania philadelphia. Giraffe-sized, wingspan of about ten meters, a neck of three meters: your classic stork of doom.
Also some nice Altocumulus lenticularis in the sky. Special clouds are things you rarely see in paleoart, I need to feature those more often.

Wow, this is just... truly breathtaking. It looks so real! I also really like the clouds and horsetails. Little details like those really make this piece of art shine!

A family of Crocodyliforms. They looked a lot lik today's crocs but there were some differences like longer front limbs and only two rows of back plates for example.

Wow! This looks so believable. I could see this happening if dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals still lived. Amazing!

I am rather impressed by the patience exhibited by these horsetails.

The Azhdarchid's pretty nice, too.

Wow. Just... wow. This is probably one of the best pieces of palaeoart I've ever seen. The sky, the horsetails, the lighting... It's beautiful.

Spinosaurus was already extinct when this guy lived.

Also lived in what is now Jordan, while Spino lived in 112 to 93.5 million years ago in North America.

No they didn't.... I did my research... no species is invincible.... we're born, we live, we die.

Its clear you don't do research, and rely on horror movies as sources

It has been made abundantly clear that he is trolling, and he is clearly succeeding.

Geweldig werk!

A very beautiful depiction of one of the most horrifyingly alien predators in palaeontology; the fact that this THING is so big in comparison to bird yet can STILL fly is downright terrifying (nowhere to hide from the eye in the sky, except a concrete bunker).
