A correct Microraptor by Dontknowwhattodraw94 A correct Microraptor by Dontknowwhattodraw94
Wanted to make a remake of my old drawing dontknowwhattodraw94.deviantar… because it's not correctly drawn but instead I ended up drawing a Micro in it's environment.
So, this is a Microraptor, a small maniraptoran from China that lived during the Early Cretaceous. As you can see it has four wings which it could use to sore from tree to tree. Special about this dinosaur is that we know its colour: his feathers were iridescent, like those of a crow, also we know what it ate: fossil remains of small mamals, reptiles, insects, birds and even fish (which it could catch with his forward facing front teeth) have been found in his stomach.
Thanks to saberrex.deviantart.com/ for the information :)

Hope you like it :)

Nice job! Also, this microraptor kinda' reminds me of Toothless from "How To Train Your Dragon". :D

No problem! I suppose its just the coloring and wings that remind of Toothless. Just sayin'.... :)

Looking good! I would recommend putting a little more flesh on the arms, they look a little skinny to me. Even just a fuzzy membrane along the inner elbow would help. But it is indeed looking accurate. Keep up the good work! :) Also really like the way you've layered the ginkgo trees in the background.
